When should I book my maternity and newborn sessions?
We recommend booking during your second trimester. Maternity sessions are typically scheduled between 28–34 weeks, and newborn sessions are tentatively held within the first 10-21 days after birth.
What’s included in the $999 Session Fee
Your Session Fee includes both your maternity and newborn studio sessions, full styling support, and a small package of digital images your maternity session. It also includes a credit towards your newborn package purchase.
Does the Newborn Portion of my belly to Baby Package Include any Images?
The newborn portion of the Belly to Baby Experience covers your time in the studio, along with our detailed planning and styling process.
Images, prints, and products are purchased separately so that each family can choose the collection that best fits their preferences once they’ve seen their gallery.
Our newborn sessions are structured as a Booking Fee + Package Purchase, but your Belly to Baby plan includes your Newborn Booking and also includes a $190 credit toward your newborn image package.
This approach ensures you only invest in the images and artwork you love most, while enjoying full flexibility and a seamless experience from maternity through newborn.
Can I include my partner or other children?
Absolutely. Family is a meaningful part of this experience, and we encourage you to include your partner and children in both your maternity and newborn sessions.
We typically begin with family and sibling portraits, then transition into individual maternity or newborn images. This approach keeps sessions relaxed and enjoyable for everyone while ensuring we capture those important first family moments together.
Where do the sessions take place?
All sessions take place in our North Austin studio, designed for comfort, style, and a stress-free experience.
The Valerie Kay Photography studio is located on RR620 in the Brushy Creek Commons building.
Due dates fill fast and only a few Spring session spots remain.
