Your maternity session is designed to celebrate you with simplicity and style. From wardrobe planning and professional hair and makeup to expert posing and retouching, every detail is handled with care so you can feel relaxed and fully yourself. Our Signature Belly to Baby experience allows you to plan both your maternity and newborn portraits together, with flexibility built in for each stage. This option is designed for families who want a seamless experience from pregnancy through baby’s first days, without having to coordinate separate photographers or timelines.
The maternity portion is reserved at the time of booking and includes a set number of finished digital images along with a fine art print. Your newborn session will be tentatively placed on our schedule based on your due date, with priority given as your baby arrives. Newborn images are purchased separately after the session, with image collections beginning at $790. A $100 image credit is applied toward your newborn image purchase.

You’ll arrive to a relaxed studio environment where everything taken care of for you.
You’ll be directed through flattering poses that highlight your best angles and natural connection. Most clients enjoy three to four looks during the session, creating a beautiful variety of portraits.
After your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery to view and select your images and explore fine-art presentation options such as prints, albums, and framed artwork.
Your Session Retainer
Your session retainer secures your place on our calendar and covers your studio time, hair and makeup, wardrobe styling, and design consultation. The retainer is paid in two parts — a portion at booking and the remainder on your session day. The session retainer is a non-refundable fee that secures your place on our calendar. For our full maternity session experience, this creation fee includes everything needed to make your session effortless and memorable.
It covers:
- Your reserved studio time
- Professional hair and makeup to help you look and feel your best
- At least three styled looks, curated using pieces from our exclusive wardrobe
- Expert planning, session design, and posing tailored to your vision
- The time, talent, and expertise of your photographer and assistant(s)
The session fee is typically paid in two parts:
- A portion is due at booking to reserve your session
- The remaining amount is due on the day of your session
This structure allows us to begin preparing for your session while keeping the process smooth and flexible.

FAQ
When should my maternity session take place?
We typically recommend having maternity photos taken prior to 36 weeks along, usually around 32-34 weeks. This timing ensures you are nicely round and showing well, yet still comfortable enough to move around, change clothes, and stand for the session. However, you may book your shoot anytime before you give birth. Some expectant moms prefer to come in a little earlier in their pregnancy and some moms decide at the last minute, with only weeks left until baby arrives. Ultimately the timing is up to you and what you are comfortable with.
When is the best time to book my Maternity session?
It's best to book your maternity session once you enter the second trimester. This allows us to plan and prepare for the session to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Is hair and makeup included in the Maternity session package?
Yes! Hair and makeup services are included with all maternity sessions. You will be pampered and ready for the camera, as my talented artist will be available at the studio to do your makeup with lashes and add curls to your hair.
How do I know the you have maternity wardrobe that will fit? Can I come try them on?
While I understand the desire to try on the gowns, my busy schedule unfortunately does not allow for in-person try-ons. However, rest assured that all my dresses are made of stretch jersey fabric, and I order most to accommodate a wide range of sizes. For smaller moms, I can make adjustments using clamps.
How long does the maternity shoot take?
The duration of the maternity shoot depends on factors such as whether we have partners and children involved, as well as the number of outfits and setups we decide on. A typical maternity session includes 3-5 looks and lasts around up to 2 hours. Clients can expect to be at the studio for at least 4.5 hours. Don't worry; the sessions are fun, and clients often express surprise at how quickly time passes.
How many setups and poses are done in the Signature Maternity Session?
In a maternity session, we usually have 3-5 different outfits or gowns, and if requested we typically include fabric draping and low-key pregnancy form silhouettes during the session, as well. This allows for a variety of beautiful and unique shots to capture this special time in your life.
Can my partner and children join the session?
Absolutely! While the Signature Maternity Session mainly focus on the mom-to-be, we love including partners and children. This creates heartwarming family moments and celebrates the upcoming addition to your family.
How Many Photos Will I get with My Maternity Session
The number of images you receive is entirely up to you. At your ordering appointment, I will present you with a selection of images taken, and you can choose your favorite ones to keep. You have the final decision over the images you wish to purchase.
Do you retouch the photos?
Yes, all portraits will be professionally retouched to meet studio standards. I take great care in ensuring that your images are enhanced to look their best while maintaining a natural and authentic feel.
